The LMU360CE Wiki

I created this site to try to collect some of what I've learned about my LG ductless minisplit air conditioner, model LMU360CE. Many replacement parts have been discontinued, or replaced several times, and keeping track of it can be a pain.

Important Disclaimer

This site is not affiliated with LG in any way.

This site is intended to provide basic information about these air conditioners, to assist in having them properly and professionally serviced.

Beyond simple troubleshooting, DIY efforts are dangerous and not recommended! The outdoor unit has a 230 Volt electrical feed and contains large capacitors capable of storing a substantial electrical charge. The refrigerant in the system can reach pressures of more than 400 psi, and in the US (and likely most other countries), only technicians certified by the EPA can service the refrigerant. In short, it's really not that hard to seriously injure yourself–or worse–by taking on something you're not experienced in. The goal of this site is to help homeowners identify what might be wrong with their system, and to relay information to a trained, certified professional.

Models

Outdoor

The outdoor unit was made in two models, which outwardly look the same.

Indoor

There are multiple types of indoor units. They are first divided into two styles–a traditional rectangular indoor unit, and a smaller, square Art Cool model.

Both of those are available in 9,000 and 12,000 BTU capacities, and in heat pump or cooling-only models.
